Football Preview: Altoona

The rails football team is hoping to move up in the Cloverbelt conference after a three win season last year.

The Rails are entering this season with two new coaches, as Ryan Wundrow and Kevin Garnett are taking over the reigns of the football team as co-coaches.

Altoona will find some consistency on the offense as they have a few seniors returning to control the ball.

Ryan Wundrow hopes that leadership from the upper classmen can lead to success on the field.

"The kids are excited and with that there is a consistency with the program the last couple years, they don't have to learn a lot and that we jump off that spring board pretty fast, they know what we are trying to accomplish and that helps a lot."

Kevin Garnett knows how important it is for his players to improve each day of practice.

"We have to keep getting better. We have a lot of kids back, but we play in a league that is very talented and filled with very good coaches. So for us to be good we have to get better every day."
