Glenwood City to square off against Potosi in state championship game

The 37th annual WIAA football championships will be held Thursday and Friday at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. The action will kick-off Thursday morning in Division 7 as Glenwood City takes on unbeaten Potosi. The Hilltoppers have their sights set on a third state championship having won in 1985 and 1997. Glenwood City has been on a roll the past several weeks with victories over Boyceville, Elk Mound, Clayton and last Saturday against Hilbert.
Coach Shane Strong says his Hilltoppers will stick to the basics against the Chieftains,"One of the keys to this ballgame is that Potosi runs 21 formations so we're not making many changes, we've had a lot of success all year, it's basically lining up and making sure we play sound, fundamental football."
Senior Offensive Lineman Kyle Peterson says, "I expect to come out on top, offensive line is going to play pretty dang good. And that's where it's going to come from, the hoggies.:
