Jim Leonhard signs with Saints

After spending last season with the Denver Broncos, former Flambeau and Wisconsin star safety Jim Leonhard has signed with the New Orleans Saints.

Leonhard tweeted out a picture of him signing his contract on Monday with the comment "I got the okay from my agent. New year, new opportunity. We are glad to be joining the New Orleans Saints."

Leonhard will be entering his 9th NFL season and has played with Buffalo, Baltimore, New York (Jets) and Denver. He has eight career interceptions for one touchdown and also has been used as a punt and kick off returner.

The Saints are coming off a 7-9 season which saw head coach Sean Payton suspended for the entire year for the "Bounty-Gate" scandal.
