Regis football team prepares for Level 3 match-up with Boyceville

By  |

Level 3 of the high school football playoffs will resume this weekend. In Division 6, Eau Claire Regis will play Boyceville at Carson Park on Friday night. The Ramblers put up 56 points against Pittsville in Level 2 last Saturday while the Bulldogs have back-to-back shutouts to their credit. Regis coach Bryant Brenner says this game may come down to which defense plays better.
Brenner says, "In big games, like this one here, somebody has to make a play somewhere, and you make plays by just simply doing your job and being in the spot that you are supposed to be in, trusting your teammates that they will be in the spots they are supposed to be in. And that's how you make plays, and our defense has been doing that all year, playing real phyiscal football, and as long as we keep doing our job, I think we'll be okay. This week we are expecting a low-scoring game, it's probably a game that will be determined by who creates opportunities through turnovers or who turns the ball over the fewest amount of times will win."
