Regis girls basketball headed back to state

Eau Claire (WEAU)- The Eau Claire Regis girls basketball team is headed to state for the third time in the last four years this week. The Lady Ramblers will take on Cuba City in Thursday night's Division 4 state semifinal.
For the two Regis seniors, they say it's a thrill to finish their high school careers on the big stage.
Kristin Mathiowetz says, "Well, we're a very unselfish team, we don't care at all who scores, and we just had a blast playing together this season, I couldn't imagine finishing my senior year anyway else, we just have a great team, it's going to be a lot of fun."
Adds Amanda Giguere, "Yeah, I couldn't ask for a better senior year, going to state in volleyball and going to state in basketball, and it's seriously one of the most incredible feelings, you know I went to state as an underclassman, as I sat on the bench as a reserve and then to finish my career by going down to state and being a starter, that's awesome, I'm so excited."
