UW-Eau Claire men's basketball player Jordan Petersen named WIAC player of the Week

MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire men's basketball player Jordan Petersen (Sr.-Strum, Wis./Eleva-Strum) has been named this week's Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athlete of the Week, Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Matt Stanek announced today.

Petersen helped the Blugolds to their first conference win on Jan. 9, a 59-56 decision at UW-Oshkosh, as he scored 10 points and pulled down seven rebounds. In a 68-58 victory over UW-River Falls on Jan. 12, Petersen finished with a game-high 19 points, while grabbing four rebounds. He averaged 14.5 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per contest, while playing 29.5 minutes per game. Petersen also finished with six assists, three in each game.
