UW-Eau Claire men's hockey team routs River Falls in NCHA Peters Cup semifinal

The UW-Eau Claire men's hockey team advanced to the NCHA Peters Cup championship game Saturday night with a 7-2 victory over UW-River Falls. Jordan Singer and Chris Heineman scored two goals each as the Blugolds jumped out to a 2-zip lead after the first period and never looked back. 2nd ranked UW-Eau Claire will play St. Norbert next Saturday night at Hobbs Ice Center for the Peters Cup. The Green Knights beat St. Scholastica 2-1 in the other NCHA semifinal. The Blugolds went 2-0-1 during the regular season against St. Norbert. That game will be March 2nd at 7 pm.
