Fellow Big Rivers team Menomonie had better luck, advancing to Level 2 by beating Holmen. Last season's Division 6 runner-up. Eau Claire Regis, moved on by beating Clear Lake, while 2009's second-place team in Division 7, Chippewa Falls McDonell, saw its season end with a loss to Shell Lake.
