Memorial Boys Cross Country Team Headed to State

Updated: 10/25/2008 - The Eau Claire Memorial boys cross country team is headed to next week's WIAA state tournament in Wisconsin Rapids after the Old Abes finished second at the L.C. Logan sectional. For the Old Abes, Tyler Heniz finished in fourth while on the girls side, Menomonie's Jordan Kelch and Courtney Sawle both qualified for state individually.

McDonell scored two late touchdowns to rally past Marathon 27-26. In boys soccer, Hudson stunned Eau Claire Memorial 4-3 in overtime, while Eau Claire North beat River Falls 3-1. While in girls volleyball, Regis won the Cloverbelt title, defeating Colby.
