Ellenson, a candidate for the BIG EAST Freshman of the Year and All-America honors, was named All-BIG EAST First Team and also claimed a spot on the BIG EAST All-Freshman Team (unanimous selection). On the ice, Eau Claire Memorial's run for a 3rd State Title ended at the hands of Appleton United in the semifinals, 4-1. However, Hudson won by that same 4-1 score line over Waukesha North to advance to Saturday's championship game. At girls state, Hayward and the University School will meet up in the championship after the Hurricanes won 6-1. In boys basketball, we have highlights from 10 games, including Eau Claire Memorial's double overtime winner over D.C.
