Colfax and McDonell Ready For Big Trip to Madison

On Thursday, Colfax will make it's first trip down to State since 1978, while McDonell will make their first ever WIAA state tournament appearance.

Saturday's victory was a big for the Vikings, who last year fell a game short of the state tournament.
Colfax will play powerhouse Dominican on Thursday, as they try to duplicate the 1978 team that won a state title.

While McDonell will face a Sheboygan Lutheran team that features Wisconsin recruit Sam Dekker. The Macks are led by a group of seniors who have played inspired basketball down the stretch.

Stop complaining. Every school would love to have a problem like that. Just think, what if you won ten million dollars, and had to claim it on that same day, boy would you be mad then.

How about the parents that have kids playing on both the girls and boys team. How do you make a decision on which game to go to? Thanks WIAA for the support

We are so proud of the Colfax Boys and the Colfax Girls! We only wish we didn't have to choose which game we were attending! It seems WIAA only cares about Division 1! Our community has always been the best small town in supporting our children's sports. But WIAA scheduled the Boys State Division 4 game at the same time as the Girls Sectional Division 4 game. Shame on them!

I couldn't have said it better myself Linda!!! Not only do the fans have to choose between which game we go to but the Girls besketball players have to miss out on a maybe a once in a lifetime experience.

The problem is that the state schedule is set months in advance. The WIAA didn't do it on purpose, it's just the way it worked out.
