The Eau Claire Regis girls basketball team lost to Oshkosh Lourdes 70-63 in overtime in the WIAA Division 4 state semifinals Thursday night in Madison. Senior forward Heather Bowe finished her brilliant high school career with 32 points including a game-tying three-pointer at the end of regulation. But the Knights outscored the Lady Ramblers 13-6 in overtime to deny Regis a chance of repeating as state champs.
In other state action, Neillsville advances to their first state championship game with a 53-41 victory over Howards Grove. The Warriors will play Oshkosh Lourdes in Saturday's championship game. While in Division 5, Owen-Withee hangs on to beat Wausau Newman, 49-48.
