Cody was selected in the 33rd round of the MLB draft in June, but will attend the University of Kentucky starting this fall.
Cody, who is pitching for the Eau Claire Cavaliers this summer, was 5-0 with 0.94 era for McDonell this season and was named the Gatorade Wisconsin baseball player of the year.
