The McDonell Mack's will play in their first ever WIAA state boy's basketball tournament game on Thursday and standing in their way of a championship birth will be Wisconsin recruit Sam Dekker and Sheboygan Lutheran.
The 6'8" Dekker is having a monster season for the Crusaders, averaging 32 points a game and helping his team to a 23-4 overall record.
The Macks have their own big man in the middle with Senior Kyle Cody, who will look to control Dekker.
"We know he's gonna get his points and we're just gonna focus on trying to do the best we can on him and make sure we shut down the other players they have. And we just gotta focus on what we can do the best cause i don't know, we don't think anyone can really stop us right now on offense and our defense is so strong. We feel like we have a really good shot going into this game."
Macks coach Archie Sherbinow's team is ready to see what Dekker has to offer.
" It's a great opportunity to get to play against someone like that you know. For four more years after this, we'll be able to watch hopefully on tv and say we got to play against him and he's a heck of a player."
