Osseo-Fairchild standout golfer Matt Sieg signed his National Letter of Intent Friday morning to play at Division 1 University of Missouri-Kansas City. Sieg, who helped the Thunder to the WIAA Division 3 state team championship last spring, finished third last year individually. Matt says it's a thrill knowing he will get to continue his golf career in college, and looking forward to playing in some warmer weather.
Sieg says, "It's very exciting because it's what you have worked for as a kid for days like this, you get to play golf for four more years, get to play at a great university. It's really relieving, a great day. Coach at UMKC noticed me sophomore year, kind of stuck with me, put a lot of trust in me which is really nice. Great campus, courses that they play are good so warmer weather which is like every golfers dream so."
