Prep Football Preview: Glenwood City

Last year the Glenwood City Hilltoppers won the Division 7 state championship, this year they are hungry to get back to Madison.

The Hilltoppers return the main core of last years team including running back Issac Tuttle and Quarterback Nick Mrdutt.
After getting the top of the high school football world, you might think the motivation to perform might be a little less this year, but head coach Shane Strong says the Hilltoppers still have unfinished business from last year to motivate them.

"I don't think that will be an issue of keeping them hungry. A year ago we weren't able to win our conference. We play in a tough conference, we're the smallest school in the conference. And our kids right now are pretty set on winning the conference championship."

While Nick Mrdutt says last years team is a memory.

"You know we take it one year at a time, you know that's in the past. You know we won state last year. But we're seniors this year and we look forward to a new year, new challenge. And I think we all accepted that we had a great year last year but we were all over the summer, trying to improve and get ready for this year."
