Regis, Somerset football teams punch their tickets to state

The Eau Claire Regis football team took the opening possession of the game and marched down the field, the big play coming from quarterback Adam Loftsgaarden on the quarterback keeper right up the middle, he would take it inside the Edgar 10-yard line. A couple of plays later, it's Hayden Frey from the one-yard line, he lunges the ball over the goalline for the touchdown, 7-nothing Regis.
Later in the opening quarter, Edgar backed up at their own 1-yard line, they look to throw, quarterback Tyler Kirsch under pressure in the endzone, his pass is picked off by Regis' Garrett Nowak inside the Wildcats 20-yard line.
Early second, Ramblers facing a fourth and goal at the Edgar one-yard line, Regis' Chris Pica-Anderson goes airborne for the touchdown, Regis would lead 14-zip. Late in the half, Edgar near midfield, Kirsch throws deep, it wobbles right into the hands of Regis' Victor Bourget, the Ramblers would take a 14-point to the intermission.
Third quarter, different quarterback for the Wildcats, but the same result, Edgar looking for points but Hayden Frey is there for the third interception for the Regis defense. Fourth quarter, Ramblers put this one away, Loftsgaarden throwing deep, he finds a wide open Pica-Anderson, a 25-yard touchdown, 21-nothing Regis, they are headed to Camp Randall.

Over at Carson Park, WIAA Division 4, Level 4 playoff game between Black River Falls and Somerset. The Spartans, the D4 state runner-up a year ago. First quarter, Somerset would strike first as Tyler Ledbeter pitches to Gabriel Flandrick who scores from 15-yards out, Spartans led 7-nothing. Second quarter, ensuing drive for Black River Falls, they fumble the ball near midfield and Somerset is able to recover.
The Spartans take advantage, as Ledbeter fakes the pitch, and he will find space and take it in for a 21-yard touchdown. Somerset takes a 14-nothing advantage. Later in the second, the Spartans go for a rare passing play, and Ledbeter shows off his arm as he hits Robert Leroy down the sidelines deep into Tigers territory. A few plays later, Vernon Breault pounds it in for the score, 20-0 Somerset at the half.
The Spartans keep rolling into the third, Ledbeter goes to the air again and hits Gaelin Elmore for the 17-yard touchdown as Somerset are headed back to state.
