Regis girls basketball team prepares to defend WIAA D4 state title

After surviving what proved to be a brutally tough sectional, the Eau Claire Regis girls basketball team is heading back to Madison for a chance to defend their 2011 Division 4 state title.
The Lady Ramblers were back on the practice floor Monday morning preparing for Thursday night's state semifinal game against Oshkosh Lourdes. This weekend will be the final hurrah for the eight Regis seniors, and they are determined to bring home another gold championship ball. Point guard Katie Stone says it's the way the seniors hoped to finish their high school careers.
Katie Stone: "It's really exciting, not for many teams are able to make to state so just going to state as a big senior group playing together for so many years will be be highlight of our senior years."
Heather Bowe: "There's not a better way to end your senior year than to play down in Madison with your teammates, we're excited it's going to be fun."
