Updated: 03/02/2013 - A championship Saturday on SportScene 13. The Eau Claire Memorial boys hockey team won their 2nd state title with a 6-1 win over Verona. In the girls title game, Hayward/Spooner topped Onalaska 5-2 to take home the championship trophy. At Hobbs Ice Center, UW-Eau Claire fell to St.Norbert 3-0 in the NCHA title game. On the hardwood, local boys basketball teams punched their ticket state at sectional finals, while girls teams kept their state dreams alive in the regionals finals. Finally, at Wisconsin Rapids, Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire took part in State Gymnastics. Click here for all the action and highlights!

Updated: 02/28/2013 - An action packed Thursday of prep sports! On the ice, Eau Claire Memorial punched their ticket to the state semifinals with a 2-1 win over Whitefish Bay. On the hardwood at a sold out Zorn Arena, Onalaska continued their march for a 2nd straight Division 2 title as the topped Rice Lake in the sectional semifinals. Barron survived a scare against Somerset while Clayton remains undefeated after a win over Prentice. Updated: 02/27/2013 - It was a memorable season for the Menomonie high school wrestling program, they captured their first conference title in nearly a half-century, then watched Eric Peissig complete a perfect year, winning a state championship last weekend in Madison. Updated: 02/23/2013 - Saturday at the Kohl Center, champions were crowned as WIAA State Wrestling wrapped up at the Kohl Center. Among those taking home state title honors were Eric Peissig of Menomonie, Cal Gerber of Cameron, Jens Lanz of Ellsworth. Updated: 02/21/2013 - The Big Rivers Conference will have co-champions in girls basketball, as Eau Claire North topped Hudson 53-47 and Chippewa Falls defeated RIce Lake 55-44 to each claim a share of the conference crown. Updated: 02/19/2013 - A busy Tuesday night of sports action. Start off on the ice as Eau Claire Memorial and Regis-McDonell-Bloomer advanced in the WIAA hockey playoffs and will square off on Friday. Then plenty of basketball action as the WIAA boys basketball playoffs tipped off. Plus UW-Stout men's basketball team advances in the WIAC tournament with a win over UW-Superior. Updated: 02/16/2013 - A HUGE day of sports action! Start at State Swimming, where Eau Claire Alliance finished third, thanks to outstanding performance by the likes of Trevor Manz and Alex Delakis. Then we head to the mats, as local grapplers punched their ticket to state next weekend. In hoops action, we have the top two boys teams in the Big Rivers battled as Eau Claire North hosted Rice Lake. In Cloverbelt crossover, Augusta battled Fall Creek. In girls high school basketball, Ladysmith handed Cameron their 1st loss of the season, while Eau Claire Memorial got tough win over Wausau West. On the ice, UW-Eau Claire clinched their first NCHA title outright with a 4-1 win over Superior. Finally we have high school swimming sectionals and wrestling regionals.
