Sports Director, Justus Cleveland also shares a third report from Brewers Spring Training. The Clayton girls fought valiantly against two-time defending state champions, Barneveld, but ultimately fell to the Eagles in their Division 5 State Semifinal. In Division 2, Onalaska's first trip to state ended prematurely as the Hilltoppers were bested by Stoughton.

On the boys side, regional trophy's are handed out with most top seeds advancing to the section semifinals, but 6th seed Fall Creek continues its Cinderalla run by outlasting Stanley-Boyd in double overtime! We have highlights and reaction from the heart pumping finish! Two new state hockey champions in boys and girls hockey were also crowned as Appleton United defeats Hudson, 2-1 and Hayward avenges last year's title game loss by beating University School, 4-1.

Posted: 03/04/2016 - SportScene 13 for Friday, March 4th, 2016 is loaded with Boys and Girls State Hockey and Boys Basketball Regional Semifinal action - 15 games in all! On the ice, Eau Claire Memorial's run for a 3rd State Title ended at the hands of Appleton United in the semifinals, 4-1. However, Hudson won by that same 4-1 score line over Waukesha North to advance to Saturday's championship game. At girls state, Hayward and the University School will meet up in the championship after the Hurricanes won 6-1. In boys basketball, we have highlights from 10 games, including Eau Claire Memorial's double overtime winner over D.C. Everest and River Falls' dramatic win after Menomonie's last second heave bounced off the rim! Also included are highlights from Hudson's teams state quarterfinal dual against Kaukauna. Updated: 02/27/2016 - SportScene 13 for Saturday, February 27th, 2016 is a Championship edition of #SS13 as the State Wrestling Finals take center stage with a slew of area wrestlers coming home with gold medals. We have video and reaction from the champions. In boys hockey, trips to state were on the line as crosstown rivals Eau Claire Memorial faced Eau Claire North and New Richmond battled Hudson. We too have highlights and reaction from both games. Also, girls basketball reaches the regional final stage as Eau Claire Memorial and North look to advance in Division 1 and a couple of great match-ups in Division 4 as Colfax takes top seed Eau Claire Regis down to the wire and Fall Creek goes on the road to beat Glenwood City. Finally, in the college ranks the UW-Eau Claire men's hockey team falls to UW-Stevens Point in the WIAC Semifinals, as do the Blugold women on the road at UW-River Falls. And the Falcon women's basketball team finishes runner-up in the WIAC women's basketball tournament, losing to UW-Oshkosh.
