Dowell tallies five assists in Rockford's back-to-back wins
Eau Claire native Jake Dowell tallied five assists in his last two games since being named the Rockford IceHogs team captain on Friday. Dowell assisted on two goals in Rockford's 4-1 victory over Chicago on Friday night, then added three more in the IceHogs comeback win over Peoria on Saturday. Eau Claire native Jake Dowell, named the Rockford IceHogs team captain on Friday had a huge weekend, tallying five assists in two games in helping Rockford to two victories. Dowell had two helpers on Friday night as the IceHogs beat the Chicago Wolves 4-1, then had three more assists on Saturday as Rockford beat Peoria 4-3 in a shootout.
