Buffalo County issues burning ban
ALMA, Wis. (WEAU) – Another group of communities in the area is banning burning until we receive significant rainfall.
On Thursday, the Buffalo County Fire Association Departments announced a county-wide burning ban. It’s effective immediately. It includes departments in Alma, Arcadia, Dodge, Durand, Fountain City, Mondovi, Nelson, Waumandee, and the Tri-Community Department. The announcement says no burning permits will be issued right now because of extremely dry conditions.
It also asks that people who see suspicious fire activity report it to their local fire department or the sheriff’s office.
