On Racing Weekly, we take a look back at an up and down weekend for Paul Menard at Texas.
In Saturday's Sprint Cup race at Texas, Menard started 9th, but finished a lap down in 18th place.
On Friday night, Menard started from the pole in his first Nationwide race of the year and dominated the race, only to get caught up in traffic late in the race and finish second to Ricky Stenhouse.
It was a tough finish, but gave Menard confindence for the rest of the Nationwide races he will run.
"As soon as you get caught in the middle like that you lose all your momentum and right there at the end. Ricky was really fast the whole race, and whoever could get out front between the two of us was going to win the race. I feel like we let one get away. Proud of the guys, a brand new car, first time out of the box working with these guys, look forward to 6 more."
