This week the stars of Nascar head to Darlington for some Saturday night thunder at the track they say is "too tough to tame"
Last week Eau Claire native Paul Menard looked to be cruising to a top 5 finish when he got caught up in a late wreck. Menard was able to stay on the lead lap and finished 17th.
Last year, Darlington was just as frustrating for Menard as he finished 22nd. Despite the struggles, this week on racing weekly, Menard talks about his fondness for nascar's classic tracks.
"Darlington is one of my favorite tracks, it was cool to see the truck series run at Rockingham a few weeks ago. I got the opportunity to race there once, the last Nationwide race they had there in 2004 and that is a really cool track. So many of these tracks are similar, Kansas, Chicago, Las Vegas, but they show up when they tell us to and we race the hell out of it."
