Eric Shepard comes to WEAU 13 News with more than 15 years of experience.

Most recently, he was Assistant News Director at WNEM, a dominant CBS affiliate in Saginaw, MI.

Before that, he spent several years at Scripps’ legacy station in Detroit, WXYZ, as an Executive Producer. During Shepard’s tenure, the morning news program he managed had some of the best ratings growth the station had seen in that day part.

Shepard also has been an Executive Producer in Baltimore, as well as Raleigh’s WRAL-TV – The first station in the country to produce news in HD.

His vast experience at such legacy stations fits in well with WEAU’s rich history of serving the community and domination in ratings.

Shepard attended Midland College in Fremont, NE and Drake University in Des Moines, IA.
