Jenny You joined the WEAU crew in June 2010 after graduating from UW-Eau Claire.
Jenny is the weekend anchor and reports and produces for WEAU 13 News. She also produced the Sunrise show for about a year before taking on other roles.
Jenny, also known as ‘Unbi’ in Korean, was born in Seoul, South Korea but moved to the Twin Cities at the age of 3. She loves visiting her home country where many family members still live, but calls the Midwest home sweet home.
Jenny is recognized for her work by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association, the Knight Foundation, the National Association of Broadcaster Education Foundation and was awarded the Julie Galvan National Outstanding Graduate Award from the Society of Professional Journalists.
While in college, Jenny helped develop UW-Eau Claire's digital journalism course, interned for WEAU and worked as the host and producer of 'Blugold Performance of the Air' on the Eau Claire region's Wisconsin Public Radio.
She’s thrilled to meet new people everyday on and off the job and serving the community.
Jenny dreams of getting on the red carpet someday and ask, “Who are you wearing tonight?"
When she’s not at work, Jenny enjoys snowboarding at Afton near her hometown, going on walks in Phoenix Park with her yorkshire terrier Kiwi and exploring the Chippewa Valley.
