Courtney Everett joined the WEAU 13 news team as a Multimedia Journalist in January 2012.
After graduating from Lewis University in December 2011 with Bachelor’s Degrees in Theatre and Radio/TV Broadcasting, she eagerly made the trek to Eau Claire from a suburb south of Chicago, Illinois.
During the summer of 2011, she interned at CBS Radio News in New York City. Then in the fall of 2011, she interned in the Investigative Unit at CBS 2 Chicago with Dave Savini and Michele Youngerman.
During her time at Lewis University, she was busy playing on the women’s golf team, writing for The Flyer newspaper, directing news for their radio station WLRA and assisting as a Reporter/Anchor/Producer at their television station. She even made time to perform in various productions in the theatre department.
Courtney is excited to be part of such a welcoming town and news station. It has been her lifelong dream to be working in news and on television. She aspires to one day join the cast of Saturday Night Live.
While she’s not working, she enjoys cooking, golfing, watching movies and meeting new people.
