Chris brings his decade-plus years of experience to WEAU as the 6:00pm and 10:00pm anchor and as WEAU’s Managing Editor.
Chris is an award-winning reporter with several accolades from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association and the Missouri Broadcasters Association. Chris most recently served as the Fox News at 9 Anchor from 2006 to 2008. WEAU produces that newscast for Fox 25/48.
He comes to WEAU from Springfield, Missouri, where he spent six years as a reporter and weekend anchor at the CBS and Fox affiliate. Before living in Springfield, he was a reporter at the NBC station in Wichita Falls, Texas, and after college, worked at WDAF, the Fox station in Kansas City, Missouri.
Chris graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in public relations from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri.
When he’s not anchoring newscasts or helping direct day-to-day operations, Chris enjoys waterfowl hunting, fishing and spending time with his wife. Chris gets to spend lots of time with her, since they now share the news desk at 10 p.m. every night. She is WEAU's Sarah Stokes.
Please feel free to email Chris with story ideas, questions, or suggestions.
