Amelia Cerling joined WEAU 13 News as a Reporter/Producer in July 2008 from the University of Minnesota. Amelia now works as the Weekend Anchor and reports three days during the week.
Amelia grew up on a hazelnut farm south of Rochester, Minnesota. She was originally born in Vermont, and lived in Texas for a few years, but calls Minnesota home.
Her internships included a summer stint working in London during an internship abroad, and a semester internship at WCCO-TV in Minneapolis.
She also got to experience being embedded with the army when she took part in a week long partnership with the National Guard out of Camp Ripley in Minnesota. She even got to shoot a machine gun while she was there!
Amelia loves the city life and frequently visits Minneapolis, but enjoys the Chippewa Valley, especially in the summer!
In her limited spare time Amelia enjoys reading, going to movies, traveling and cheering for the Minnesota Gophers, but mostly just hanging out with her friends and family.
Amelia happily welcomes any comments, questions or tips that you may have.
You can reach her at amelia.cerling@weau.com or (715) 852-1585.
