Ashley joined the SkyWarn 13 & Fox 25/48 Weather Team in August 2007. She started her weather career in New York City, freelancing for NY 1 News, Good Day New York on Fox 5, and News 12 Connecticut.
Growing up all over the East Coast, Ashley has experienced various types of weather from the water spouts in Mississippi, to the Nor'easters in New England. She originally became interested in meteorology while living in Charleston, South Carolina after watching the coverage of Hurricane Andrew in 1992. Since then, Ashley has been hooked on weather, specifically tropical activity.
In May 2006, Ashley graduated from the University at Albany in New York with a degree in Broadcast Meteorology and a minor in Geography. In addition to spending hours in the weather lab, Ashley enjoyed being a dancer/choreographer for UAlbany's Dance Council group and coach for the school's swim team.
More recently, Ashley received an honorable mention for her photo of lenticular clouds, which was published in the September 2008 issue of Weatherwise Magazine.
In her free time, Ashley loves golf, dancing, vacationing, and spending time with her cat, Chase. She enjoys forecasting everything Mother Nature sends our way, but still can’t get used to the -20 degree winters!
