Chance Dickman Bio
I started at the station in March of 2014, and I’m very excited to be here in Eau Claire.
I was born and raised in the small town of Cashton, WI which is about 30 miles east of La Crosse in the heart of Amish Country. Sports had an early impact in my life, and so did talking, so I knew that being a sports personality was the job for me someday and here I am now.
I attended college at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse majoring in Broadcast and Digital Media Communications and minoring in Sports Broadcasting. I was the student television station’s Sports Director my sophomore and junior years then moved into the position of Executive Producer my senior year. I also did sports play-by-play for the University’s radio station.
The summer before my senior year, I did a sports internship with WISN-TV in Milwaukee. There, I was able to cover major sporting events like Brewers games, the NBA Draft, Milwaukee Mile racing, and the Women’s U.S. Open Golf Championship.
My experiences in college helped me land a job as a Sports Photographer at WXOW-TV in La Crosse. I worked there for almost a year and really enjoyed shooting a variety of high school sports, and that is something I’m excited to do here in the WEAU viewing area.
When I’m not at work, you can find me spending time with my friends and family. I am also a passionate Wisconsin sports fan, so I spend a lot of time watching or attending games when I can.
I’m really excited to get to acquainted with the wonderful people in the Eau Claire area, so if you have any story ideas or just want to say hi, feel free to email me at email@example.com
