From Football to Basketball and Drag Racing to Golf, there aren’t many sports in which Gregg hasn’t competed at one time or another. His first and greatest love is hockey. Gregg has competed in leagues across the country and is thrilled that covering the NCHA is part of his job description at News Center 13.
A native of Stevens Point, Gregg graduated from SPASH in 1995 and Mid-State Technical College in 1996. He then spent a year as a Wisconsin Badger before transferring to UW-Stevens Point. Gregg’s career in broadcasting began shortly thereafter, calling Pointer Hockey Games on WWSP radio. Since his graduation in 2001, Gregg has worked at WFTS-TV in Tampa, Florida, KXMC-TV in Minot, North Dakota, and most recently, KWWL-TV in Waterloo, Iowa. Gregg is an Award-Winning Sports Anchor and Reporter who brought a decade of broadcasting experience with him when he joined the WEAU Sports Team in July of 2007.
Gregg comes from a large family, including parents George and Mary Lou, three older brothers, three older sisters, and so many nieces and nephews that he loses count.
Gregg is currently single, and in his free time, Gregg enjoys reading, ice skating, and spending time with friends, family, and his dog Sable.
