Matt Hoffman

Matt Hoffman joined the WEAU 13 News team as the weekend meteorologist/reporter in August 2010.

Matt grew up in the Twin Cities suburb of St. Anthony, MN and has always had a passion for weather. He always wanted to be a weatherman since elementary school when he would give forecasts to his parents like he saw on TV.

Matt graduated from college in May 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Iowa State University. He was very active in college, doing weathercasts for Iowa State Television shows, as well as being the vice president of the ISU chapter of the American Meteorological Society, which received chapter of the year during his senior year. Matt also had two great internships at WOI-TV in Des Moines, IA and KARE-TV in the Twin Cities.

In his free time, Matt enjoys being outdoors running or biking in the warmer months and skating and hockey during winter. He also enjoys music, movies, paying visits back to the Twin Cities and Ames, and spending time with family and friends.

Please feel free to email Matt with questions, comments, or story ideas. You can also follow him on Facebook and Twitter.
