Fairchild (WEAU) - WEAU's transmission tower reached 1342 feet on Thursday.

Once completed, the tower itself will be just under 2000 feet tall, but with the base, it will be at the 2000 foot mark.

Tower engineers have been working on this project for months since the old tower came crashing down in a storm last March.

It's not even been a month since the tower itself started going up.

October 7th was the date the first 110 foot went up.

Crews have had to deal with some wind and rain, but the weather hasn't done much, if anything, to put them off pace.

Once the tower is up, there will still be a lot of cabling to do, but our completion date is still set for the end of November.

Once finished, WEAU's signal will be more powerful than ever before.
