Assembly Minority Leader Jim Kreuser says lawmakers can fix the state's budget shortfall within hours.
The Kenosha Democrat vented his frustrations yesterday with the impasse over how to patch the $527 million deficit the slowing economy has blown in the state's two-year spending plan.
Republicans who control the Assembly and Democrats who run the Senate have been talking about the shortfall for weeks but have yet to come to the floor with a fix.
Kreuser says the shortfall is not massive.
He says if the two sides wanted to they could resolve their differences today, but they're content to be a do-nothing Legislature.
