A man got inside the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon, commandeered a forklift and used it to steal an automated teller machine.

Authorities say the man also tried to steal a second ATM, but it wouldn't fit in his vehicle so he left it at the loading dock.

Captain David Konrath of the Brown County Sheriff's Department says the man entered the arena Sunday night, using a service door and leaving no sign of forced entry.

He got on a forklift and smashed through a glass door leading to the administrative area, then used it to pry the ATM from its mounting. He also pried the second ATM loose but wound up leaving it behind.

A maintenance worker discovered the incident after getting to work yesterday morning.
