The 49th Annual Lumberjack World Championships in Hayward include more than 20 events such as men's and women's log-rolling, chopping and the pole climb.

More than 100 lumberjacks compete for more than $50,000. That's the largest prize for lumberjack competition in the world.

The competition started in 1960 as a way to acknowledge the history of the logging industry in the United States.

About 10,000 people from around the globe are expected to attend the three day event.

The above article about the Lumberkack World Championship does not mention when the competition will be held. I can assume it is 25-27 July?
