A recent census shows 11% of people in Eau Claire County live in poverty, and one in four are considered poor or low income.

With rising food and fuel prices, local leaders are hosting what they're calling a Change-Makers Summit.

They hope those meetings on August 15th and September 30th will be the first in a series of local conversations.

Family Living Educator for Eau Claire County UW-Extension and Summit Coordinator Julie Keown-Bomar is with us, along with Anna Cardarella.
