MILWAUKEE (AP) -- JP Morgan Chase plans to cut 402 jobs involved in the banking firm's home lending business in the Chase Tower in downtown Milwaukee.

The company advised the state Department of Workforce Development yesterday that it's giving workers with Chase Home Lending the required 60-day notice and expects the first termination date to be February 9th.

According to the company, affected employees will be given assistance in finding other jobs for which they may be available within JP Morgan Chase. Relocation assistance may be available for certain positions. The employees are not represented by a union.

Among the jobs being eliminated are those of 168 loan officers.
