On August 18, 2009, I was working in the Communication Center of Dunn County with Amanda Leach. At approximately 10:20pm we started to receive numerous emergency phone calls about a shooting that had just occurred. Within minutes there were over 10 agencies involved in the incident. Amanda and I were the only two telecommunicators working in the Communication Center that evening. Amanda’s quick and level headed thinking was crucial to the success of the incident from within the Communication Center. Amanda’s actions and words assisted me in completely all the tasks presented to me.

On a daily basis, Amanda shows great professionalism and efficiency in the work place. I am grateful that I am able to work with her, especially on the evening of the shooting.

I would like to nominate Amanda Leach for the Mega Express Sunshine Award for all the good deeds she does for the citizens of Dunn County and for being a great work partner within the Dunn County Communication Center.
