Regularly performing some basic tasks to your TV can ensure a nice picture and a long life. Always shut off and unplug your TVs and electronic devices before cleaning or maintaining.

-CRT STYLE-
Clean the dust from the screen using a dry rag or a slight amount of window cleaner. Keep the dust away from vents in the back and side of the TV and clean the TV surface..

-PROJECTION STYLE-
Dust often builds up on lenses and mirrors inside TV which can distort picture quality. The inside of the TV can be assessable by either removing the front screen or a trap door. Clean the back mirror using window cleaner and cloth. The lenses can be cleaned simply by using a dry cloth. Avoid putting too much pressure on the lenses and use a micro fiber cleaning cloth if possible. Using a dry rag or feather duster is usually the best bet for cleaning the screen.

-LCD, DLP & PLASMA STYLE-
The best option for cleaning the screen is simply a dry micro fiber cloth. Avoid using any household cleaner on the screen and don’t apply to much pressure on the screen. If more aggressive cleaning is needed try using a small amount of warm water on the cloth. Specific cleaning kits are available and recommended. Also, use a dry rag to clean the dust build up on the side and back of the screen.

- Keeping ample space around your TV for air flow is very important. Placing them in tight spaces like boxed cabinets can reduce the life span. Avoid putting your TV in front of a window as sunlight, moisture and dirty air can have damaging effects.
