Great Regional Sports Card & Collectibles Show at the Oakwood Mall in Eau Claire, WI on October 13 and October 14. Show runs 10am to 9pm on both days. This will be expansive display of merchandise featuring Dealers from over 5 states. The show will include Sports Cards (New and Vintage!), unique sports memorabilia, autographed sports collectibles, bobble heads, helmets, autographed jerseys, custom sports plaques, collector supplies, new sport and entertainment wax, MAGIC Cards, comics, coins, collector toys, Pokemon/Yu-Gi-OH, plus more. Volume One & The Local Store are bringing back The Night Market - an indoor/outdoor maker market and sale series Friday nights in Sept/October from 6-9pm. Each night, we'll feature 4-6 different local makers' information and products in the Volume One Gallery. During this, we'll also setup a fire pit in our courtyard area, invite local food trucks, feature an acoustic performer, and have hot cider and snack samples. Simultaneously, all regular store merchandise is 15% OFF during the Night Market!

L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library in Eau Claire
“American School Girl” features a series of acrylic and mixed-media paintings that represents Sue Cranston’s version of childhood experiences for a young girl. It combines her memories of growing up in Wisconsin, her experiences teaching in the classroom, and her life as a daughter and mother. Exhibit may be viewed during regular library hours.

Open House and Reception: Thursday, September 28 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. 
This exhibit is a retrospective of the artwork of Hugh Mandelert, which has been generously loaned to the Heyde Center from the private collections of community members. The theme of the exhibit “Art and Addiction” serves as a catalyst for a community exploration and a dialogue of chemical dependency issues in the Chippewa Valley, hopefully leading to second-chances. Hugh Mandelert’s status as a “favorite son” and a recovering alcoholic can help decrease the stigma our society puts on people with chemical dependency; foster conversations that are too often kept behind closed doors; lift up the power of compassion, relationship and community support; replace castigation with rehabilitation; and explore ways to help each other artfully move forward one step at a time. Participants in the Chippewa County Drug Court will be exhibiting their artwork in the galleries on the third floor. No cost for admission to the exhibit.
