O-W Zombie Run

Event Dates and Times

10/14/2017 - Starts: 5:30 PM
Owen-Withee High School, Owen, WI
The O-W Zombie Run is a 5K race that winds through the grounds of the Owen-Withee School District and the school forest. This is your typical 5K cross country style race... with the added twist of trying to avoid "zombies" on the course.

At the starting line, you will be given a belt with "health flags" attached. As you run the course, there will be "zombie zones" where you will encounter (even be surprised by) our zombies. The zombies will try to steal the flags from your belt in order to infect you. If you lose all your health flags before you reach the finish line, you will be deemed "infected". If you still have a flag remaining when you cross the finish line, you will be deemed a "survivor".

Fire & Rain - A Tribute to the Music of Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, and Carole King

Event Dates and Times

10/14/2017 - Starts: 7:30 PM
Chippewa Valley Cultural Association, Inc./Heyde Center for the Arts, 3 South High Street, Chippewa Falls, WI, 54729
Folk-pop duo Swearingen & Kelli return to Chippewa Falls with their tribute to the most beloved songs of the '70s and the artists who performed them.  The term “singer – songwriter” came into use in the early 1970s to define folk-inspired acoustic performers who made personal statements in their songs. The melodies were created to emphasize their words and voices. The amazing vocal blend and detailed guitar arrangements of Swearingen & Kelli make this a beautifully intimate concert. AJ Swearingen is a singer-songwriter/producer who has performed in many orchestras across the country. Jayne Kelli began writing and recording her songs at the age of 15. She has shared the stage and opened for artists such as John McCutcheon, Crystal Gayle, and more.
Admission: Adults $15, Seniors $14, Youth $8
"AJ Swearingen and Jayne Kelli are a singer-songwriter team that you won’t forget. Steeped in the sounds of all-American country and folk, the duo’s music delivers rich harmonics and delicious texture" The Dayton Philharmonic
