Mike Kellen Guillain Barre Syndrome Benefit Fundraiser
New Auburn School Elementary Gym, New Auburn, WI
Mike was diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome on September 20, 2013, a little over a year ago. GBS is a whole body paralysis. It attacks the nerves and is very painful. He spent 8 months in the hospital and then was told he had to leave as the Insurance company said he wasn't making fast enough progress. Physical Therapy is the "treatment drug", however, the Insurance company will only pay for a few visits. Expensive medical is needed for his everyday needs and to try and continue therapy at home. We will be having a Silent Auction, 50/50 raffle drawing, Bake Sale, Candy Shoppe, Tee/Sweatshirt sale, Bag Raffle, Free kids games, and a Creamed Chicken -N- Biscuits Dinner being served from 4pm-6pm. Dinner prices: $8/adult, $5/ages 4-12, free for ages 3 and under.
Some of the prizes are: 32" flat screen TV, Packers Football, 2 grills, large circular cement patio table, fire rings, 2 hand-made quilts, Mike Perry Books, many Themed Gift Baskets and Gift Certificates/Cards, and so much more.
There is also an account set up at Security Financial Bank in Bloomer if you are interested in donating to the cause.
