Messiah in the Passover

Date(s): 3/26/2015

6:30 - 8:00

Word of Life Bible Church, 3732 Spooner Ave., Altoona WI
Have you ever wondered what the Passover Seder, once celebrated by Jesus Christ, might have looked like? Join us for a participative demonstration of that event.
As we come upon this holy season of Christ’s resurrection, Word of Life Bible Church has invited Stacey Trobman, of Chosen People’s Ministries, to present this program on March 26, beginning at 6:30 pm. We will observe the Seder as we remember Him in this Easter season.
All are invited to relive this moment of transition from the Jewish tradition to the inception of Christianity. Many born-again Jews still celebrate this Passover observation, as did Christ. Stacey is one of those individuals. She serves Hebrew and Russian speaking women in Israel at the Ark in the Negev, where this women’s shelter shares the love of Christ as it helps homeless and addicted women transform their broken lives into productive ones.
There is no fee to attend, but your RSVP is necessary. A love offering will be taken for our guest speaker. Call 715-833-9673 to reserve your place at the table.

"And Then They Came for Me; Anne Frank Remembered"

Date(s): 3/25/2015 Date(s): 3/26/2015 Date(s): 3/27/2015

Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts- Menomonie, WI
Arts Integration Menomonie presents:
And Then They Came for Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank

Wednesday, March 25th; Thursday March 26th; and Friday March 27th at
7:00pm March 29th at 3pm and 7pm - SOLD OUT- Private performances Mabel
Tainter Center for the Arts; Menomonie WI. Ticket cost is $10.00

We are honored to announce an upcoming play, And Then They Came For Me;
Anne Frank Remembered by James Still. This production will launch the
new organization, "Arts Integration Menomonie" (A.I.M.), which represents
the partnership between the University of Wisconsin-Stout, the School
District of the Menomonie Area, and the Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts.

And Then They Came for Me: Anne Frank Remembered is a multimedia play
that weaves interviews with actual Holocaust survivors, Eva Schloss and
Ed Silverberg, with live (Menomonie) actors recreating scenes from their
lives during World War II. Playwright James Still draws the audience in
with live action and images as well as the true voices of the survivors
telling their own stories. Part oral history, part dramatic action, part
direct address, part remembrance, the ensemble-driven And Then They Came
for Me breaks new ground and has been acclaimed by audiences and critics
in world-wide productions. This moving production is one not to be

This powerful drama will teach viewers far more than can be learned from
reading facts and figures in a history book. Viewers will connect with
actual survivors making it a personal experience. To listen and watch
Eva and Ed narrate their memoirs through video interviews is like
touching history. Their stories are different, but the impact of terror,
deprivation and personal loss touches the listener. It is difficult to
describe the feeling of awe a person experiences when hearing history
from one who lived it. We believe the play will cause people to think
about the past, ponder the future and be concerned about what we are
doing in the present. We are certain you will leave inspired and more
appreciative of your own life. (We are recommending this show for grades
seven and above).

Finally, Eva Schloss, the main character in our play, will be coming to
the Menomonie area, in conjunction with our performance! Eva is Anne
Frank's posthumous stepsister. Eva will be attending our performances on
March 29th, which are sold out; and she is speaking at the Great Hall at
UW-Stout on Monday, March 30th. Come and see our production on March
25-27, and then attend Eva's presentation at UW-Stout on the 30th!

Tickets for the play are $10.00 and are available for purchase at the
Mabel Tainter Box Office, by calling 715-235-0001 (ext. 100), or go
on-line at www.mabeltainter.org.
Please contact me at weissta@uwstout.edu with questions.
Do not miss this opportunity to touch history.
