Chicago native Chris Jones took a roundabout way to becoming one of today’s most entertaining performers on the college market. A nationally ranked athlete in college, he studied sociology and psychology, claiming himself to be a “social engineer with deviant motives.” After years of performing only magic and stand-up comedy at weddings, bars, and smoky nightclubs, Chris Jones realized he wanted to “learn some new tricks.” While in graduate school, he became fascinated with the art of hypnosis and found the missing piece of his show.

Benefit for Sam Zander

Date(s): 1/17/2015

6pm

Town Hall, Rock Falls WI
Benefit including dinner, silent auction and entertainment to help raise money for Sam Zander. Sam is a 6 year old little boy who up until March of 2014 had a very normal life. He became sick and after a protracted illness was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor that unfortunately has left permanent damage to his pituitary gland. He has had surgery to remove most of it, but the tumor is in a very delicate location and if it is not permanently removed it will grow back. The best option is to give him medication to suppress its growth. he is currently on Interferon injections weekly in addition to his other medications. He will either need radiation or surgery to completely remove the tumor, but he runs the risk of brain damage if it is performed too early. Sam is the son of Amber and Galen Zander. Galen is currently deployed, serving his country in the National Guard, leaving Amber to care for Sam and his three brothers. Money raised will help defray medical and transportation costs.
