Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Auditions
Auditions for the Broadway musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will be held at 7p.m. April 27 - 29 at The Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild, 102 W. Grand Avenue, Eau Claire. Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice bring the Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors vibrantly to life in this popular musical.

On April 27th, auditions will be held for kids and families (ages 8 and up). On April 28th, auditions will be held for adults and on April 29th, for anyone who was unable to attend the previous nights. Fantastic roles are available for men and women with an adult chorus and children’s chorus. There are several solos throughout the show. All cast members will be required to sing.

Please come prepared to sing a cutting from a Broadway along with your sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. Dress comfortably to learn a short dance routine. Rehearsals will begin May 11th with performances June 25-28 at the State Theatre.

The smash hit, Jesus Christ Superstar, takes the stage April 23-25 at 7:30pm and April 26th at 1:30pm at The State Theatre in Eau Claire. The Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild proudly presents the popular rock opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.
Based on the gospel accounts of Jesus’ final days, the show is as compelling today as it was forty years ago when it opened on Broadway. Jesus Christ Superstar has some of musical theatre's most memorable songs, including I Don't Know How to Love Him, Everything's Alright, Gethsemane and, of course, Superstar.

Eau Claire, WI – ECCT will present CABARET May 14-16, at the State Theatre in downtown Eau Claire.

Cabaret tells the story of a seedy nightclub in 1930s Berlin, where a young English performer strikes up a relationship with an America writer, all while a zealous Master of Ceremonies commands the action at the Kit Kat Klub. Cabaret has received numerous awards including Tony Awards for Best Musical (1966-67) and Best Revival (1997-98).

Performances are scheduled for Thursday, May 14, Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m. Reserved seating tickets are $20 for adults, $16 for seniors, and $12 for students. CABARET is rated PG-13 for suggestive themes and content.

ECCT Presents "Disney's The Aristocats Kids"

Children participating in the Eau Claire Children’s Theatre’s Celebrate Summer with a Show class will present DISNEY’S THE ARISTOCATS KIDS on Thursday, June 21, and Friday, June 22, at The Oxford, 1814 Oxford Avenue, Eau Claire.

DISNEY’S ARISTOCATS KIDS is a musical is based on the classic Disney movie. When Madame’s jealous butler Edgar cat-naps Duchess and her kittens and abandons them in the Parisian countryside, what’s a cat to do? Luckily, Thomas O’Malley and his rag-tag bunch of Alley Cats come to their rescue.

Five performances are planned. On Thursday, June 21, shows are scheduled at 10:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. On Friday, two performances are planned for 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

General admission tickets are $5.00 each and will be available at the door.

The show is the first of three “By Kids, For Kids” productions scheduled this summer. The other shows planned are THE JUST SO STORIES on July 19-20 and HEE HAW HAYRIDE on August 4.
