Program Details: Internal auditors are vital to a successful management system. Good internal auditing provides the necessary insight on how well the system is performing for you. The course will provide a detailed review of the ISO standard requirements and the proof that should be available to the auditor.
Target Audience: Our internal auditor course is designed to help a range of people, from ISO novices to those experienced in auditing or managing the systems.

Launch A Small Business

Entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners are invited to attend our “Launch a Small Business” training on Thursday, September 26. The training will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Western Dairyland Community Action Agency, 418 Wisconsin Street, Eau Claire. Tuition is $29 for individuals and class materials are included. Scholarships are available for income-eligible individuals.
This training will include the fundamentals of small business and building your business plan, covering topics such as business feasibility, market identification, customer and competitor analysis, advertising, developing a marketing plan, identifying your supply chain, and performing your own SWOT analysis. Participants will learn about the different types of business structures, creating financial forecasts, establishing an accounting process, and creating a business plan.
After the class, attendees may request free, one-on-one assistance from Western Dairyland’s Business Development Specialists delving deeper into the individual small business needs including preparing a business plan with financial forecasting to present to lenders.

Overcoming the Fears of Public Speaking

The Western Dairyland Business Center invites entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners to attend “Overcoming the Fears of Public Speaking”. This two part training will be held on Monday, June 24th and Wednesday, June 26th from 6pm to 8pm at the Western Dairyland Community Action Agency in Eau Claire at 418 Wisconsin Street. Tuition is $49 and includes class materials. Scholarships are available for income-eligible individuals.
Public Speaking is considered one of the top ten fears in adults within the United States. Caroline Wee founder and owner of Wee Communicate will walk you through why public speaking is so fearful and what steps to take to help you better prepare yourself before a presentation. The first night of the series focuses on the top ten fears associated with public speaking and how to overcome them. The second night is a hands-on approach, giving all attendees a chance to work through their public speaking fears.
Wee is a professional speaker specializing in diversity training, gender communication, team building and leadership skill development. Wee is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire and has been involved in a variety of organizations including Leadership Outreach, Wisconsin Higher Education Grants (WHEG) and Academic Affairs and Commission on the Status of Women.
