Robbins 5th Annual Run, Walk, & Roll

This is a unique fundraising event hosted by Robbins PTO and includes, a 5k bike tour and 5k run/walk on an off-road course running through beautiful Lowes Creek County Park. The family-friendly event also includes, The Robbins Rush which is a sprint for elementary-age children. Proceeds from the event will be used to fund a variety of school initiatives.

One registration allows racers to participate in one, or all three events! Food and fun activities between events will keep your whole family entertained.

8th Annual Just Us for Justice Run/Walk and Festival (5, 2, and ½ mile races)

The Justice Run/ Walk Festival raises money to support International Justice Mission (www.ijm.org ) and Fierce Freedom (www.fiercefreedom.org), two anti-human trafficking organizations.There will be music, kids' events, refreshments for purchase, and an art show and sale. All of the run fees and 50% of the art and food sales will be sent to IJM.
Onsite registration opens at 4:30, and races begin at 6:00. Pre-register online at www.cvjusticerun.org by July 8 to guarantee a race t-shirt. Pre-registration closes July 17.

Join us for the 33rd Annual Leader-Telegram Buckshot Run benefiting the local Special Olympics program. This 2 mile run/walk in beautiful Carson Park is ranked one of the top 10 races in Wisconsin. It’s family friendly and tough enough for the hard-core competitors. Ages 5-85 typically participate each year and average attendance for the Tuesday night race is 500 people. Help us grow this year’s event by inviting a family member or friend to join you!
100% of money raised from the race stays locally to help 1,000 Special Olympics athletes with intellectual disabilities train and compete in sports year-round. It’s a life changing opportunity for these kids and adults.
After the race, enjoy concessions, music, race results and an awards ceremony during the Party in the Park.
Check in begins at 4:30 p.m. and the race begins at 6 p.m. with awards following at 7 p.m.
For those who can’t attend Tuesday, join us for the main event Saturday, September 5.

Run With the Cops

You’ve heard of a ride along, but what about a run along? Join dozens of law enforcement officers for this 5k to benefit local Special Olympics athletes. Do you have what it takes to outrun the cops? Will there be “jail time” if you lose to a cop? This unique evening run follows a 5k run and 1 mile walk route on campus and through parts of downtown Eau Claire. Registration includes a t-shirt and coffee and donuts at the finish line. Plus, a donut eating contest against the cops is guaranteed to be epic! Open to all community members, families, college students and anyone interested in supporting Special Olympics WI. Lights and sirens will lead the way and kids activities will include exploring a cop car, meeting the K9, getting an “official” police badge, and more.

The Eau Claire YMCA has been chosen as the local charity partner and is looking for volunteers to help make this event a success! Start for 5K & 10K at Chamber of Commerce. Start for Half Marathon is on the Foundation Trail at Marks Field Little League Diamond – one mile from Chamber office. All races finish at the Chamber of Commerce.

The route for the Half Marathon is a VERY challenging hilly route through the beautiful countryside. Note the different start line for the Half-Marathon. Please be here early to check-in and get to the starting location prior to 7:00 a.m. Maps of the route are available at the Chamber of Commerce.

For the safety of our runners no dogs, strollers or rollerblades will be allowed on the course!

Kids Duathlon is on Friday evening on August 21. The duathlon is also a chip-timed event that will take place at UW-Stevens Point. 2015 Point Duathlon Presented by Cellcom

2015 Point Duathlon presented by Cellcom is Saturday August 22. This is a chip-timed event that starts in Parking Lot Q at UW-Stevens Point. The duathlon consists of a 2 mile run, 16.5 mile bike ride, and a final 2 mile run to the finish line! There are two types of running terrain. The first course is on paved streets and sidewalks through the UW-Stevens Point campus. The final running course takes place in the shaded trail through Schmeekle Reserve on the Green Circle Trail. The biking course covers a flat region throughout rural scenic areas. Age divisions ranging from under 20 years to 70+ along with relay teams up to three people are eligible to participate. Registration forms will be available after April 1 online or at the Stevens Point Area YMCA. The event starts at 8:30 am with a mandatory pre-race meeting at 8:15 am. Event day pick up and registration runs from 6:30- 8:00 on August 22.
