The Lil' Buckshot race is geared toward those who cannot participate in the larger 2 and 5 Mile race on Saturday, August 30, or for those who want to do both days.
Registration and check in for the Wednesday night event begins at 5:30 and the race starts at 6pm. Concessions, music and an awards ceremony will follow.
100% of money raised from the race stays locally to help 1,000 Special Olympics athletes with intellectual disabilities train and compete in sports year-round. It’s a life changing opportunity for these kids and adults.

This walk is to raise awareness to Neurofibromatosis (NF). NF is a neurological genetic disorder affecting an estimated 1 in every 2,500 births. It can cause tumors on nerves anywhere on or in the body, along with learning disabilities, seizures, and severe pain to name a few. This walk will help bring awareness to the disorder and funds for research.

This is a great event and fundraiser for the Epilepsy Foundation of Western Wisconsin.The Stroll is a 1.5 mile walk around the animal cages, followed by a bountiful picnic and incentive prices for donations received! Strollers can bring in pledges and donations ,come as an individual and/or a team.For a $25 donation you can receive a tshirt and the deadline for ordering is April 21st! We have celebrities lead the Stroll, clowns and Face painters plus raffles and games for the kids! All donations received help EFWW provide client services and community education for all clients and families who deal with the challenges of epilepsy throughout our 22 county service area! It is a fun and exciting day so please join us for the Stroll in the Park!

LA SED 5K

The Latin American Sustainability, Education and Development organization at UW-Eau Claire will host a 5K run/walk Saturday, May 10, to help support the Casa de Los Ángeles community daycare and support center in Mexico.
The primary goal for the LA SED on campus is to help communities in need, raising awareness and funds for the progress and development of Latin American countries.
Event registration opens at 8 a.m., and the race will begin at 9 a.m. from the starting line at UW-Eau Claire's Davies Center. The course will run through and around campus, and all racers will receive a complementary water bottle for participation.
Sign-ups for the event are $12 in advance and $15 the day of the race. Participants may register at active.com.

The purpose of the Frostbite Road Race & Winter Walk presented by Community First Bank is to offer a unique experience in the “off season,” to enjoy camaraderie, good health, and help support the YMCA.
Refreshments will be available after the race in the All Purpose Room at the Y.
Both the 5 and 10 mile races begin at 12:00 Noon.
Five mile walkers depart at 12:01 p.m.
All events begin and end at the Stevens Point Area YMCA.

Check-In:
Check in takes place Friday, December 6, from 4:00- 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 7, from 9:00- 11:30 a.m. at the Stevens Point Area YMCA, All Purpose Room.
At check-in, you will be given your Dry Fit long sleeve shirt.
There will be a brief rules meeting at 11:45 a.m. in the All Purpose Room.
Locker room facilities and showers are available for your convenience. Please bring your own lock and towel.

Course Description:
Course maps will be available at check-in and online at www.spymca.org (under the ‘EVENTS’ tab) by November 1.
The race runs along paved roads and is flat and fast.
The course is a semi-out and back.
The 5 and 10 mile course run is identical other than the turn-around point.

Entry Fee:
This event is a fund raiser for the YMCA Youth Programs. Therefore, in the event of a weather cancellation no refunds will be issued.

The entry fee for this non-competitive event includes a souvenir long-sleeved shirt and locker room facilities.

Awards:
Participants in the 5 and 10 mile races will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each division by gender. Must be present to receive award. Awards will not be mailed. If you know you will not be present for awards, we recommend entering the “Open” division, so the award gets passed to the next person.

Child Care:
Drop-in child care is free for up to 3 hours for members and away members. Away members must present YMCA membership card to Member Services. Non-member fee is $3 for first child and $1 for each additional child. Drop-in child care is open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

Raising awareness for domestic violence and its relation to animal cruelty. Registration starts at 9, $5 per dog-must have proof of current vaccinations and play well with other dogs. The Jackson County 4H Dog agility team and the Jackson County K-9 units will be on-site giving demonstrations! Lunch will be Chili and fry bread for a free-will donation. 52nd Annual Christmas Walk

"Christmas Tweetings" will feature seasonal crafts, a popular bake sale (including pickles, lefse and rosettes), plus coffee and cookies available at Our Savior's UMC.
