Fiddler on the Roof

Eleva-Strum Central High School Auditorium November 14 & 15 at 7 pm, November 16 at 2 pm
This is Eleva-Strum Central High School's annual musical production. It will include high school students, elementary students, parents and community members.

Fiddler on the Roof is a musical with music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and book by Joseph Stein, set in Tsarist Russia in 1905. It is based on Tevye and his Daughters by Sholem Aleichem. The story centers on Tevye, the father of five daughters, and his attempts to maintain his family and Jewish religious traditions while outside influences encroach upon their lives. He must cope with both the strong-willed actions of his three older daughters—each one's choice of husband moves further away from the customs of her faith—and with the edict of the Tsar that evicts the Jews from their village.

Heyde Center For the Arts, 3 South High Street, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729
While observing a poker game at age eight, Christopher Carter realized that people broadcast their thoughts in ways beyond words. This revelation led him to a lifelong interest in non-verbal communication and “people reading.” Christopher’s humorous, theatrical performances showcase his skills as a magician and as a keen observer of human behavior. Believing that the audience is the true star of the show, Christopher will get everyone involved. Website: christophercartermentalist.com
Admission: adults $15, seniors $13, youth $7

“Wow, was he phenomenal! The group loved him and was awed by his performance.” PGI, Inc
