An organizational meeting for the Red Knights International Firefighters Motorcycle Club will be held starting a 1:00 pm. The Red Knights are the largest firefighter's motorcycle club with over 10,000 members across 3 continents. We are a bike-neutral club organized to promote motorcycle safety and to raise funds for various fire related uses. Any active duty or retired firefighter (career or volunteer) with a motorcycle license and access to a motorcycle is eligible for membership. Come ride with us!

Set in a lodge in Georgia, a British demolition expert brings a friend (a very shy man named Charlie) and tells everyone that Charlie is from a foreign country and speaks no English. Once alone, Charlie overhears more than he should about a sinister plot which leads to adventure, deception, intrigue and loads of laughs!

ECCT Presents: "Flat Stanley"

The Eau Claire Children’s Theatre will present THE MUSICAL ADVENTURES OF FLAT STANLEY, JR. March 7-8 and March 14-16, at The Oxford, 1814 Oxford Avenue.
In this fun musical Stanley Lambchop is your ordinary, everyday, run of the-mill ten-year-old: normal mom and dad, normal little brother, normal life. That, however, is just the problem for Stanley, life is just too normal. He wants to travel the world, do something amazing, something no one’s ever seen before. Careful what you wish for, Stanley! This production is based on the Flat Stanley series of children’s books by Jeff Brown.
Performances are scheduled for Friday, March 7 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, March 8 at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.; Friday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, March 15 at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.; and Sunday, March 16 at 1:30 p.m. Reserved seats are available, $8 for youth/students and $12 for adults/seniors. Patrons are invited to add to their experience by attending “Around the World with Flat Stanley” on March 8 and 15 at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Attendees will participate in Flat Stanley activities, eat treats, and meet the cast of show. The party takes place one hour before the show and costs $5 per person; this does not include admission to the show. Advance reservations are required and a limited number of seats are available.

Join the club! This enrichment opportunity is open to children ages birth to 5 years old during the whole month of March and is designed to promote early literacy. With the help of parents or caregivers, participants will complete worksheets consisting of 12 fun early literacy activities. When all twelve activities are complete, return the activity sheet to the Eau Claire YMCA service desk and choose an adorable little rubber ducky to keep! Keep going and see how many different ducks you can collect!

Wisconsin ArtsWest, an annual juried art exhibit, will open on Sunday, February 23, with an artists reception to be held on Thursday, February 27, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Best of Show and 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes will be announced at the reception. The program begins at 7:30 p.m. Selections for this year’s show are made by Elizabeth Tanenbaum, Director of New Visions Gallery in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Adopt a Bucket

Join us for the first tapping of the season! We will kick off the maple syrup season with the Reserve's annual Adopt-A-Bucket program. Families, scout troops, and youth groups are welcome to decorate a bucket with their favorite design to be hung in the Reserve's sugar bush. Decorators will have their picture taken with their bucket(s) before heading to the sugar bush to meet the sapmeister.
In the sugar bush you will assist in tapping a maple tree and hang your bucket to catch sap. Upon returning to the Nature Center you will receive sweet reward of Mother Nature, a maple syrup sundae-all this plus a jar of maple syrup to take home. Don't miss out this fun and educational opportunity.
*Registration note: there is a limit of five participants per bucket. Groups with more than five in their party will need to purchase buckets according to group size.
